Cool Roofs

Cool roofs reflect more sunlight and absorb less heat than conventional roofs. Using highly reflective paint, sheeting or shingles, a properly installed cool roof can improve your home’s comfort while reducing cooling demand by 10–15 percent.

Rebates are determined by the amount of sunlight reflected (reflectance) and the area of your roof. Roofing materials must also be Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) certified to qualify.

Reflectance Rebate
Greater than 40 percent $0.08/sq. ft.
Greater than 65 percent $0.20/sq. ft.

Additional details and requirements are listed on the rebate application. Apply online or download the PDF form.

  • No significant obstruction of direct sunlight to roof
  • Is over 20 years old
  • Has been damaged or is in need of replacement
